Key Processes

Tracking hardware by door number alone breaks the moment a door gets renumbered, reassigned, or affected by a change nobody flagged. Overtur instead tracks each opening by its own permanent ID, and each model by its own permanent ID — so identity doesn't depend on a value that's expected to change. Door data is often exchanged by one person coordinating across a dozen or more members of the design team, any of whom can affect an opening, so that person may not know everything that's changed since their last exchange. Overtur still knows exactly which hardware belongs to which opening, without anyone having to remember to update it — and without ever extracting or importing Revit model elements, families, or other IP.

Overtur provides script(s) Revit user(s) run themselves. No one at Allegion accesses, opens, or interacts with users' Revit file(s) directly. You decide when and what is shared. Allegion understands and values the IP that exists within any Revit file and has built these safeguards to protect it.

Select a schedule or schedules, and Overtur uses that selection to determine which doors are in scope (only visible doors in the selected schedules) and which parameters matter, not the hundreds that could exist in a model. Send shares data and PDFs (Excel file) only — no model elements, families, or other IP ever leave Revit.

Download base hardware set values from your Hardware Consultant directly into the Revit parameter of your choice. Revit stays the source of truth for everything else in the schedule.

Save Send or Receive data to your machine when you can't log in or connect — VPN restrictions, IT policy, connectivity issues, or simply not wanting to create an account — then provide the file to your Overtur representative directly. This same no-login path positions Overtur well for future strict NDA or CMMC-type project needs.
